What a remarkable opportunity to immerse in local culture, to engage in truly meaningful work for animals in need, and to be part of a safe, loving and nurturing community. This was by far my favorite travel experience. I was a bit apprehensive about traveling so far away from home. However, I am SO happy I went. Elephant Nature Park and Chiang Mai
The heart of this 12 day / 11 night Northern Thailand adventure will be a week of “seva” (Selfless service) volunteering at the Elephant Nature Park (www.saveelephant.org). ENP is an educational sanctuary for the endangered Asian elephant (among many other rescued animals!).
But before that, we’ll have a relaxing and pampering 5 night 6 day retreat in Chiang Mai complete with daily yoga classes, nourishing meals, a Thai cooking class and more. You’ll have opportunities to go into the old city to visit local temples and the famous Chiang Mai night market, or you can just relax and prepare for your week of service at Elephant Nature Park.
