We are so lucky to be able to co-create retreats at this special venue!
The property itself was built on a dream 50+ years ago when the founder, Dr. Laura del Valle moved from the US to build a small clinic to serve the women and underserved populations of this region. What was her home and clinic expanded with housing to receive medical interns and volunteers, and over the decades, they’ve built a birthing center, trade school for the young men, organic gardens and more. When they were asked by a meditation group to visit in the 80’s, this began another chapter.
Everything on the property has been hand built, every tile and chair. Food is lovingly prepared from local organic sources. Our dollars are supporting the communities directly, with no corporate entity in between.
We are so grateful that this heart centered venue exists with such a special and beautiful natural backdrop. We have so much gratitude for Dr delValle and Mar de Jade!
– Laura, founder OYG
